2.11 WR Keary Colbert, Carolina
First of all, I'd like to thank all of you for not allowing me to trade the rest of my picks to move up a few spots to pick up Keary whom was #8 on my WR draft board. I was worried he wouldn't be around for this pick and I'd have to go with someone much more risky.
With Muhammad at the end of his career, Colbert and Smith are going to make one hell of a tandem in a year or two. In my eyes, this has to be one of the steals of the draft. Now I'm off to celebrate with some frosty libations :drinktoge

Decent pick. I had him a bit further down on my draft board... but he's sure getting a lot of good PR in this off-season. Could be a steal.

Re: 2.11 WR Keary Colbert, Carolina
Don't know how many of you keep up with the college game as much as I do but here's some info on Keary Colbert:
Colbert is the all-time leading receiver in USC history with 204 receptions--surpassing such USC greats as Johnny Morton, Keyshawn Johnson and Curtis Conway. USC has now had 12 wide receivers taken in the last 12 NFL drafts (including four first rounders). Colbert was only the third Trojan to have back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons. He will long be remembered by Trojan fans for his spectacular one-handed touchdown grab in USC's Rose Bowl victory over Michigan that clinched the national title for USC. I think he flew under alot of people's radar (and thankfully all of your's) because he's been overshadowed by Mike Williams for the past two years...but was still able to put up 1,000+ yd seasons with Williams. Another kicker for me was the list of 2nd round draft picks by the Panthers which include: WR Muhsin Muhammad, S Mike Minter, DE Mike Rucker, DT Kris Jenkins, RB DeShaun Foster. My mouth is watering after this pick....:IconDrink

I like him a lot and was very impressed when his games were shown back on the East Coast. I strongly considered him with Henderson but I went with Henderson hoping that maybe Colbert would fall to 2.15. Oh, well I think you might have a gotten a steal here.
