1.6 Chris Perry- Cincinnati
Maybe a reach, but I think the WRs are just as much of a reach. Every year they talk about the great WRs being for sure locks. I'd rather take my chances on an RB.
Would've like to have tradeded down a spot or two but can't risk losing him.

Re: 1.6 Chris Perry- Cincinnati
I knew you wanted a RB with the 1.6 but damn! I never thought you'd take Perry so high... missing out on one of the big 4 had to hurt eh ;)

Re: 1.6 Chris Perry- Cincinnati
Got to admit I am very surprised here. I figured getting a WR would be the priority. So far this is the first shocker (so to speak).

Re: 1.6 Chris Perry- Cincinnati
Yep, but really I like Perry a lot.
He's big, he can catch, he can block, and he has great vision. I had Winslow and Perry targeted here the whole time. Never hought of Fitz or Roy, but that may bite me in the butt, but oh well.

Note to self: never trust Frank's own pick from his mock.

Re: 1.6 Chris Perry- Cincinnati
WRs are priority but if you look at mine:
Koren Robinson Steve Smith Laverneus Coles Quncy Morgan Jerry Porter I had a solid young group, that are set to improve. I can't be waiting for a young WR. Plus I just didn't like the situations where Fitz and Roy ended up, to be honest. Fitz goes to ARZ with an unknown QB and a WR who already established himself as #1 last year. To me Fitz and Anquan are similiar as both don't have blazing speed. Anquan will get more YAC, while Fitz may have more catches. Williams I like more than Fitz, let it be known. If Perry was off the board and I had to choose between Fitz and Roy wit would be Roy. However, Roy has Harrington tossing him the rock and also Rogers to fight against. If any of these WRs ended up say in Baltimore, Green Bay, or any other WRs starved team I'd pick them.

Re: 1.6 Chris Perry- Cincinnati
Looks like Frank and I were targeting each other a little with our mock draft bluffs. I had no interest in Perry with my picks. I even offered him a last minute deal to let me move up, which with a chance at Roy I'm sure I would have given way more than I should of... and Frank still likely gets Perry at 1.8. Oh well... thanks for not answering that inquiry Frank! :thumbsup

Re: 1.6 Chris Perry- Cincinnati
DOPE!
I was too lazy and yes your mocks had some effect! And in my defense... you had offered 1.9! I was scared you'd take him with 1.8! If you had offered 1.8 then I would've bitten. Too bad I was too lazy to follow that up.

Re: 1.6 Chris Perry- Cincinnati
Frank, you gotta love that the Bengals only signed Rudi Johnson to a 1-year contract...looks like Perry may become the starter in 2005.

Re: 1.6 Chris Perry- Cincinnati
Would Rudi still be an exclusive rights free agent next year? Or has he been around longer than I think?
