Default Draft questions

I figured people should start returning to the boards soon as the draft kick-offs in less than 5 hours. So here are my questions (in case you get bored between picks):

1. If I am reading it right we made through last year's draft in less than a week. That was only 36 (versus maybe 62 this year) but I am wondering how long this years will take?
2. Who will on average be the quickest drafter?
3. Who will on average be the slowest drafter?
4. How many trades will take place after the first official pick is made?

These are more for post draft analysis (asked before the draft started):

5. Who had the best draft?
6. Who had the worst draft?
7. Who were you hoping to get (and did)?
8. Who were you hoping to get (and didn’t)?
9. Biggest sleeper?
10. Biggest reach?
11. Best value?

Draft talk

1. If I am reading it right we made through last year's draft in less than a week. That was only 36 (versus maybe 62 this year) but I am wondering how long this years will take?

I say 11 days

2. Who will on average be the quickest drafter?

Myself at 1.5 and 1.6

Only two picks, I know who I want, and the picks are early enough for me to predict who will be there. Only way I won't be quickest drafter is if someone tries to strike a deal with me.

3. Who will on average be the slowest drafter?

I have to say Mike. He will be talking trades until his last minute is exhausted.

4. How many trades will take place after the first official pick is made?

Hmmm

1st round - 2 trades, there are many teams with multiple picks (Preds, Dodgers, BDSC, Insects, Waste). I possibly see BDSC packing their picks to move up and just to throw a curveball, I see Mike jumping up a slot or two in order to draft Bell or Kevin Jones.

2nd Round- 1 trade. The value of these picks aren't as much, teams aren't willing to pay more to move up.

3rd and 4th- None. Don't see anyone making trouble to move up and down for these picks.

That's a total of 3 trades I predict, with a standard deviation of 1.

2 more hours!

I think the later rounds will go farily quickly. I say it'll go a lucky 13 days.

I'll be checking regularly so I should be making my picks quickly, unless there's trade talks or because its early in the morning and I'm just getting up on the West Coast.

Richard, just cuz I know he's been busy with work. That and he's pretty clueless when it comes to college talent. :p

I'll guess 4.

I'll go with myself...1st pick took 9.5 hrs since I was asleep early last night, that's sure to kill the average.

I was thinking the same thing. However, it is still somewhat early on the west coast. I can't imagine he will be waking unhappy as he seemed have nailed the early part of this draft and should be getting the 2 players he targeted.

I think he was bluffing. IMO, he was hoping and praying one of the 4 RB's would slide. After moving up, he's made several attempts to move back down but want's a kings ransom, which he won't get.

He'lll taken KWII and a WR if he can't move out of one of the picks, but I'm fairly certain he was hoping for a RB with one of em, and now that's shot to hell.

Chris Perry is still on the board for him. Hehehehe.

I feel so bad when a division rival's plans don't work out.

I'd say we'll be wrapped up by May 26

The timezone difference will kill the Opihi's times, but I'm sure Jim will still check in frequently
