1.08 RB Carlos Hyde, SF
Last year the Preds brought in an impact RB at 1.07 with Eddie Lacy and he paid off nicely, so the Preds decided to dip into the well again in 2014 by trading up to 1.08 to draft the best RB in 2014's class. Granted many will vary in opinion with the RB rankings this year, but we love his situation in San Francisco and expect him to emerge as an impact RB after spending some time learning from Preds RB Frank Gore in what may well be his farewell season. Welcome to the CHAMPS Carlos. We look forward to a long and successful future together!

Good pick but your draft philosophy in not consistent with what you think (or what you want us to think) makes a good fantasy team?
It's a good pick do doubt, however the 49ers draft a RB every year. I think they are collecting them like Carolina. |

I've got Lattimore in another league... holding out hope that he regains his form sometime this year. He's still got a ways to go. I like Hyde's chances.

Re: 1.08 RB Carlos Hyde, SF
Bobby, I was expecting that. Fact is I am super deep at WR and have an aging corps of RB's aside from Lacy and Vereen. I need to replenish the RB pool for the future while also ensuring a handcuff to Gore as my RB2/3 this year.
There are plenty of good WR's left, but they all fit in a similar tier. I have a player n mind for 12 that I think will be there in a few picks.

Re: 1.08 RB Carlos Hyde, SF
I like it and really wanted him at 1.03 but wasn't sure he could help the Cards in 2014...a nice luxury to have a team already built and within cap space...the Cards will get there, but we realize we are rebuilding...nice pick!

Re: 1.08 RB Carlos Hyde, SF
Look at Lattimore's stats after the first injury..he lost a step then..you think after two, he is going to get back to form? Hyde is bigger, which is SF's/Gores style, so Hyde fits nicely...Lattimore may only be change of pace back, if that...

Well, you didn't mention TALENT... I think Lattimore's got Stewart covered in that department, too.

I don't trust Buckeyes in the pros anymore. Who have they churned out since Eddie George that's been worth a darn?
