2011 Rookie Draft Order - Discussion
I think I have broken this down correctly for the non-playoff teams but if someone wants to confirm that is fine by me. Looks like I went from missing the the playoffs by a point and half (way to go Keller) to the third pick.
================ 1. Wonder Mutts (1-13) 2. Scorpions (4-10) 3. Philadelphia Freedom 6-8 (.250 or 1-3 versus other 6-8 teams) 4. Emerald Coast Burners 6-8 (.333 or 1-2 versus other 6-8 teams) 5. Liquid Swords 6-8 (.667 or 2-1 versus other 6-8 teams) 6. Urza's Ragers 6-8 (.750 or 3-1 versus other 6-8 teams) Actual Scores for 6-8 teams Week 2: Urza's Ragers 129.70 & Liquid Swords 110.95 Week 6: Philadelphia Freedom 122.40 & Emerald Coast Burners 119.55 Week 8: Emerald Coast Burners 115.40 & Urza's Ragers 97.05 Week 10: Liquid Swords 127.75 & Emerald Coast Burners 67.90 Week 11: Urza's Ragers 120.45 & Philadelphia Freedom 107.55 Week 11: Liquid Swords 158.45 & Philadelphia Freedom 107.55 Week 12: Urza's Ragers 116.05 & Philadelphia Freedom 112.95 |

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
Jim had already posted seedings in this post:
http://www.predsff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16944 Personally, I prefer the way you determined it, but only because this is the way we do it in SAC'd and all other leagues I am in that use the same tie-breakers. But however you all have been doing it is fine by me. I don't think we had this dilemma last year?

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
This is the first year we've had to break it down this way. That's crazy that 1.5 fantasy points separated a playoff team from the 3rd overall pick!
I think your way is correct, Matt. The #1 tie breaker is head to head... and winning percentage is the way to go, since there are some divisional rivalries here making an extra game for 2 teams. |

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
Cool..that makes sense Jim..I actually think percentage is the way to go no matter what mix you have...

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
“Unwinding” of Reds first-rounder trades
2010 OFF-SEASON: Reds traded his 2010 first for Burners 2011 first in the off-season. Reds acquired Llamas 2011 first in the Hakeem Nicks trade. Reds pledged his latest 2011 first (natural or compensatory) to Insects in the Vincent Jackson trade. 2010 IN-SEASON: Reds started the season with three 2011 first-rounders: Reds, Burners, Llamas and a commitment to give his last first to Insects. Reds traded his best and his worst natural 2011 first rounders to Burners in the Jahvid Best trade. Reds (re-)acquired Burners worst 2011 natural first rounder in the Miles Austin trade. Reds pledged the first rounder above to Freedom in the Peyton Hillis trade. SEASON-END RECAP: Reds holds the middle of three picks (Reds, Burners, Llamas), but also has a commitment to give his latest first (natural or compensatory) to Insects. |

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
Okay, can someone fill out the rest of the first round and then disperse all of the picks that have passed through Reds' hands?

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
Here is what I have - hopefully it makes sense:
1. Wonder Mutts (1-13) 2. Scorpions (4-10) 3. Philadelphia Freedom 6-8 (.250 or 1-3 versus other 6-8 teams) 4. Emerald Coast Burners 6-8 (.333 or 1-2 versus other 6-8 teams) 5. Liquid Swords 6-8 (.667 or 2-1 versus other 6-8 teams) 6. Urza's Ragers 6-8 (.750 or 3-1 versus other 6-8 teams) 7. THE Dixie Chunks 8. SBDC 9. Llamas 10. Opihi 11. Insects 12. Reds 2010 OFF-SEASON: A) Reds traded his 2010 first for Burners 2011 first in the off-season. B) Reds acquired Llamas 2011 first in the Hakeem Nicks trade. C) Reds pledged his latest 2011 first (natural or compensatory) to Insects in the Vincent Jackson trade. 2010 IN-SEASON: D) Reds traded his best and his worst natural 2011 first rounders to Burners in the Jahvid Best trade. E) Reds (re-)acquired Burners worst 2011 natural first rounder in the Miles Austin trade. F) Reds pledged the first rounder above to Freedom in the Peyton Hillis trade. 1.4 went to Reds in A, then back to Burners in D 1.9 went to Reds in B - if Reds does not get Comp pick, then on to Burners in D -then back to Reds in E - then on to Philly in F 1.12 - went to Insects in C - if Reds get 1st round comp pick, then that will go to Insects, and this pick will then go to Burners in D -then back to Reds in E - then on to Philly in F So, clear as mud? I think it best to wait until RFA bidding is done and we see if Reds gets comp pick....

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
I get Insects 1.11 + 3.11 in Calvin Johnson trade (Sept 6) and we exchange 2.04 (to Insects) and 2.11 (to Burners).
So in 1st I get 1.04 + 1.11. In 2nd Reds sent me 2nd in ADixon trade (Aug 30) and 2nd in MAustin trade (Nov 17) and I sent him 1 back in JDwyer trade (Nov23) so I am up 1 with Reds trades so I have 2.11 + a 2nd from Reds. In 3rd I get 3.04 + 3.11 from Insects in Calvin Johnson trade (Sept 6). In 4th I get 4.04 + maybe 4.12 depending on final decision on JDwyer trade (Nov23). Bottom line for Burner Draft: 2 in 1st, 2 in 2nd, 2 in 3rd, 1 or 2 in 4th plus RFA compensation.

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
I now have a severe headache, but this is the best I could come up with, based on all the too creative trades made over last year..if anyone disagrees, please give it your best shot - I did not include which trades were for which pick, because quite frankly, there is not enough room:
1.1 Bad Dogs 1.2 Scorpions 1.3 Freedom 1.4 Chunks 1.5 Insects 1.6 Greatshepski 1.7 Chunks 1.8 SBDC 1.9 Freedom 1.10 Opihi 1.11 Burners 1.12 Insects 2.1 Bad Dogs 2.2 Scorpions 2.3 Chunks 2.4 Insects 2.5 Swords 2.6 Greatshepski 2.7 Chunks 2.8 SBDC 2.9 Reds 2.10 Burners 2.11 Burners 2.12 Burners 3.1 Bad Dogs 3.2 Scorpions 3.3 Freedom 3.4 Burners 3.5 Swords 3.6 Greatshepski 3.7 Chunks 3.8 SBDC 3.9 Llamas 3.10 Opihi 3.11 Burners 3.12 Reds 4.1 Bad Dogs 4.2 Scorpions 4.3 Freedom 4.4 Burners 4.5 Swords 4.6 Greatshepski 4.7 Opihi 4.8 SBDC 4.9 Llamas 4.10 Opihi 4.11 Insects 4.12 Burners plus the following options still to be determined: Burners give: Anthony Dixon (5/330) + Dan Carpenter (1/100) for Charles Scott (2/170) + New Orleans Def (2/100) + Reds worst 2011 2nd (natural, traded to or RFA Compensation pick) ================================================== ============= Insects send: - WR Vincent Jackson SD - WR Jerricho Cotchery NYJ Reds send: - TE Zach Miller OAK - QB Brett Favre MIN - Lowest 2011 1st round (includes ALL picks, including RFA compensation) - determined once the 2011 draft officially starts or the 2011 1.1 selection is made, which ever comes first. ================================================== ============= The Freedom acquire Nick Folk from the Reds for the rights to swap natural 4th round picks in the 2011 draft. The Reds can decline this option if it is not to their advantage. ================================================== ============== Reds give: Jonathan Dwyer (from Taxi Squad) + last available natural or compensatory 2011 fourth round pick Burners give: last available natural or compensatory 2011 second round pick ================================================== =============

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
I got 1.04 - and Freedom gets 1.09 on my calculations...
I also show Insects with 1.12.

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
Agree with John: Burners - 1.04, Freedom - 1.09, Insects - 1.12. I believe those changes would also normally flow from Burt's list of "unrecorded yet" transactions.
Then, in the event that Reds don't match Steve Johnson's RFA tender: Burners - 1.04, Reds - 1.09, Freedom - 1.12, Insects - compensatory first. Also, Reds are formally declining the option to switch 4th rounders with Freedom. (Sorry, John, wouldn't be right to Freedom) |

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
...so I get 4.12 in JDwyer trade? I'm fine with that and traded with that in mind - you mentioned in the origional Folk trade with Freedom that you weren't looking to switch 4ths - you just didn't want to take the hit for cutting Folk, as I recall.

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
Yep, I think you are right. If I recall correctly, we definitely thought we were trading my natural 4th, so 4.12 goes to Burners.

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
OK I made the changes recommended..I just wasn't sure on which pick Freedom got, since it referred to 'trade below' - 1.12 I was waiting on what comp picks Reds ended up with, but I went ahead and changed it to reflect where he stands as of now....
Thanks for your help...

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
Do we still have to resolve all the following stuff?
plus the following options still to be determined: Burners give: Anthony Dixon (5/330) + Dan Carpenter (1/100) for Charles Scott (2/170) + New Orleans Def (2/100) + Reds worst 2011 2nd (natural, traded to or RFA Compensation pick) ================================================== ============= Insects send: - WR Vincent Jackson SD - WR Jerricho Cotchery NYJ Reds send: - TE Zach Miller OAK - QB Brett Favre MIN - Lowest 2011 1st round (includes ALL picks, including RFA compensation) - determined once the 2011 draft officially starts or the 2011 1.1 selection is made, which ever comes first. ================================================== ============= The Freedom acquire Nick Folk from the Reds for the rights to swap natural 4th round picks in the 2011 draft. All resolved AND don't plan on accepting any future conditional draft picks (after 2012 Insects 3rd taken today and have offer on table to trade that pick).

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order
I pulled out the latest order from Reds posting, and created a new Posting, so we can just show the draft picks, and no commentary....go ahead and still track any changes/updates here and I will update official thread...and then unstick this thread when we start our draft...

Re: 2011 Rookie Draft Order - Discussion
Steve Smith sold for Tendered value, so diff is zero. Greatshepski gets 3 points, which can be converted to a 3rd and 4th.
So will add 3.13 and 4.17 for Shep...
