I'll be leaving for a lunch appt. around 11 est. If pope's pick is in before that, I'll be ready. If not, I'll find a wireless hotspot somewhere out and about and try to make my pick after lunch.

Sorry guys. I went to bed at 12:30am last night and 1.9 had gone. I thought there was no way I'd be on the clock when I woke up! Ah, the realities of a global FF league.

The 1.13 is up for trade. See my thread. I won't drag it out too long. I don't go again until 3.8, so you have to let me work with my one pick

The problem is as stated above, all the next 4-6 guys are all roughly on the same level then there is a drop off. Everybody want to trade down and still get one of these guys, nobody in the next 4-6 picks see any value in trading up and neither would I. I have a pick just outside that range and nobody is interested in it.

If FF owners weren't impacted by homerism, positional needs, and personal talent assessments, I'd agree with you and just pick. Since they are, I'm exploring. I have one offer already from that next 4-6, so apparently someone sees the value in it.

Also, I said I was interested in moving down up to 12 spots, so I'm interested in your pick. [heading over to draft order list now...]

Gee... thought that my making the 1.12 pick late last night before I went to bed would surely have moved the draft a bit along by now.

It seems like this year, more than any in recent past, has a number of decent-but-pretty-much-equal players... and I'm guessing there's not going to be too much trading between spots.

I'd like to trade down as much as the next guy... but I don't see it happening this year. We've gotta just make our picks and see where the players fall.

But Popes does have 24 hours, according to the rules... so let's cut him a little slack, since it's his first Frenzy draft and all.

Thank you, sir!

Like I said, I don't pick again until 3.8, so this pick is essentially it for me. If I can turn it into two guys that actually have a shot to help me, I gotta do that.

Also, I am of the belief that the guy that should go next is a step above the remaining players. If I make my pick, I won't have anything to think about. If anyone else agrees with me, they might want to trade for that

I don't know. I almost think the fact that there is such a plateau of players, it almost leads to more reason to trade than normal. Even though all the players are of a similar level, everyone has their own favorites, and I would think that would lead to trading up to get the one you want if you feel he's about to go off the board. Since a team can trade down without losing much, a trade is more likely.

I think when there is a more clear line of how players can fall, and more of a clear dropoff point, teams are less likely to move down.

But who knows, maybe I'm misreading it all.

I agree with Brian. This is were people's personal assessments and favorites make a big difference.

Another thing to keep in mind that makes trading down (beyond the current plataeu) more likely. When someone is in a position like me (next pick is 28 spots away), if you want to address a need with your one good pick, then trading down makes a lot of sense. For example, if I want to go QB and take Quinn, I probably don't need to do it here. I might as well trade down and try to get him closer to where he's likely to go. Unless I REALLY want him, then I reach and grab him now.

This must be payback for the other thread, because now it's me getting the looks from coworkers for .

Nah, I didn't prove nothin'.

It's either the fact that all you shmucks are from Minnesota,
or you trading up to draft a rookie QB for the Cleveland Browns that sealed it.
