Well...once you got your mind right and numbers straight...there's are always, ALWAYS surprises on who missed the mark on a coveted player or two...I'm watching the owners with the most free cb's and who they put in play...some big number WR out there...

This has to be the weakest RFA class of RBs in the history of the league. Makes me glad to that we acquired Melvin Gordon at midnight, even with his high contract.

I don’t think the draft is going to yield an instant starter RB for anyone this year either.

UFA class may have a couple RBs to consider but many of those have issues as well.

Check the player scores from last season weeks 9-17 and you will see Amari in the top 10. He did have that 1 big game to kinda skew the results but all WRs have those. I only have around 4K in cap, Im budget shopping.

Hmm, is the likely 1.13 pick, a 3rd and a 4th enough compensation for losing 3 stud WRs? That’s the decision on the table for the Chickens with Adams and Evans pending match and Cooks previously declined.

Alternatively they could keep one of Adams or Evans and receive a 2nd, 3rd and 4th as compensation.

Or Burt can match them both and just take the 3 and 4 for Cooks.

Chickens recent bids on Julio Jones and A.J. Green May be an indication they’re going to decline one or both of their big ticket RFA WRs.

My money is on Adams being declined and Evans is 50/50, though I lean towards a match there, especially since the Butcher pulled out the Valerian steel chasing after his captors!

Previous perennial stud Antonio Brown is languishing with bids barely above his tender while lessor WR's have received much better offers.

Is it the loss of Big Ben for Derek Carr? Is it that AB went completely loony in the off-season in addition to quitting on his former team in the playoffs?

My money is on him still being a top 10 WR this year, maybe not top 3 again, but 5-7 seems a reasonable slotting for him in 2019.

That said, what do I know, I read the tea leaves on McCoy last year and ignored them with a horrible contract TWICE!

I do hope to see some more respect shined AB's way though.

Bad timing with new team and system...cost is issue too with so much uncertainty about his (AB) sanity level...then the move to Vegas next year...a lot going on with that real NFL team...

Are we allowed to cut RFA players???

I thought they had to run their course through the RFA process...what if an owner wants to bid on the player after the dust settles???

A release/cut frees up cap space that isn't supposed to be freed up without a bid...the cap space will come but later...

Just asking...for a friend...

They can be cut, the team releasing takes the 20% cap hit (based on the minimum 1 year contract), just as they would any other player that is released during the hardcap.

I'd think Card nation would be ecstatic he drew a minimum bid, giving management the option to keep at the tender level or release for compensation.

Seriously...you guys are not???

C'mon man...what if he has another year worthy of said salary or even better than that? He gets a full offseason to work with staff on expectations unlike last season where he was traded mid-season...there is not much competition at the position in NY...he gonna get balls with as bad as NY looks offensively - they can only run so much from behind...

What if he blows? He stays healthy enough everywhere he has been so he is valuable by being available...he doesn't suck that much when bad...

Higher ceiling than low floor...

I think it was a season or two ago that I tried to set RFAs at higher tenders HOPING TO BE ABLE TO DECLINE and get the max compensation. It kinda backfired. So now I pretty much set the tenders at what I hope to be able to MATCH (with a little wiggle room). So yah, I want to be able to match all of my players now, within reason.
