Predators "tickled pink" about selection of Lelie

In the immortal words of that fat oaf John Butler (formerly GM of the Buffalo Bills, now with the Bolts), the Predators were "tickled pink" that WR Ashley Lelie fell all the way down to them at 1.9.

"Ashley was in our sites all along. We love his speed, and with 2 aging and injury prone WR's in front of him, we like his prospects to be a star soon... just look at the numbers he put up in Hawaii! We considered Ashley at 1.5 but couldn't resist the opportunity to move down... turns out we still got our man!" said Predators GM & Coach Mike SantaLucia. Anyone think keeping Lelie away from divisional rival Hawaii might have played a part in their decision as well...!

Parkwood picked up a 2nd round selection by moving down from 1.5 to 1.9, and had to forgo the selection of RB Clinton Portis who was said to be very high on their list. However, word is they were deeply concerned with Clinton's lofty salary demands, particularly with his situation so unclear at this point.

Parkwood will be looking to make another splash soon when they select again at 1.11. They could go anywhere from RB to WR, to TE with that pick. Should be interesting.
