Default Week 5 Notes

Fairly quiet week:

The Black Watch Royal Highlanders have their best record after five weeks at 2-3. Their 111.3 points was the 5th highest score in team history. Jason Campbell's 26.65 points was the 2nd highest QB score in team history. Donte Stallworth's 15.95 points was the 10th highest WR score in team history. Eric Johnson's 5.5 points was the 2nd highest TE score in team history. Neil Rackers' 12.2 points was the 7th highest K score in team history. Washington's 25 points was the highest D score in Highlanders history, breaking their own record of 9 points scored in week 2 last season.

The Parkwood Predators have tied their worst record after five weeks at 3-2, which they have done in 2002-03, and 2004-07. Antonio Gates' 20.8 points was the 3rd highest TE score in team history. Nick Folk's 17.7 points was the 2nd highest K score in team history, behind only Jason Elam's team record of 22 scored in week 6 of the 2002 season. The Pittsburgh defense passed the Chicago defense to move into 4th place all time among defenses with 596 points in 52 games for an 11.5 career average. The Predators passed the Royal Hawaiian Opihi for the lifetime lead in points per game by improving to 124.73 ppg. The Opihi fell to second place with 124.47 ppg.

The Royal Hawaiian Opihi have tied their best record after five weeks at 4-1 done previously in 2004. Jason Witten's 20.8 points was the 4th highest TE score in team history.

The Soap Box Derby Cars are 4-1 for the second straight year, tying their best start. Dallas Clark's 14.4 points was the 8th highest TE score in team history.

The Amish Rake Fighters are off to their best start in their two year history at 1-4. Their 102 points was the 8th highest score in team history. Heath Miller's 12.4 points was the highest TE score in team history, surpassing Randy McMichael's previous record of 11.2 points in week 6 last season. Jeremy Shockey's 10.3 points was the 5th highest TE score in team history. Stephen Gostkowski's 10 points was the 4th highest K score in team history. The NY Jets' 16 points was the 3rd highest D score in team history.

Ben Watson of the Valencia Absolut, scored 27.05 points, the 8th highest TE score in Frenzy history. Edgerrin James passed Priest Holmes to move into 4th place all time among Frenzy running backs, with 1416.45 points in 67 games for a 21.1 career average.

The Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects have tied their worst start at 2-3, done previously in 2002 and 2006. Their 75.65 points was the 5th lowest score in team history, and lowest since their personal worst of 37.3 in week 11 of the 2004 season.

The St. Paul Popes' Baltimore defense tied the Philadelphia defense with 665 career points to tie Philadelphia for the overall lead.

The Urza's Ragers have tied their worst record after five weeks at 2-3, done previously in 2001-02, and 2005. Chris Cooley's 12.6 points was the 8th highest TE score in team history. New England's 18 points was the 5th highest D score in team history.

The West Division's poor showing of 0-4 on the week allowed the East Division to retake the lifetime lead in total wins with their 184-172 lifetime record, with the West falling to 182-174. The Central is in last place with a 168-188 record.

My boy "Dirty Socks" is earning every penny of his contract. Also nice to nab the top weekly points spot from Jim, though I'm sure that will be a record that flucuates between a few teams often.

Why not, you have a very succesful Frenzy history. That news tidbit didn't surprise me one bit.
