Default 3.6 Bennie Joppru, Texans TE

Another low risk, high reward pick. With the 2nd TE slot open on the active roster Joppru was one of a number of TE's targeted to replace Randy McMichael. Should not see a huge amount of game time behind Shockey this year but as a writer from the Houston Chronicle said, "Joppru started one year at Michigan, last season, when he set a school record with 53 catches for 579 yards and five touchdowns. He was outstanding at the Senior Bowl, where the Texans' staff coached, and the scouting combine. He's a good athlete for his size, has strong, quick hands to snatch the ball and works hard as a blocker. At 274-pounds he is a load who blocks like a lineman and improved immensely last season as a receiver. Don't be surprised if he starts right away for the Texans."

Good pick... he was the other player I was targeting and trying to trade to acquire.

I'll bet he starts this year, the Texans coaches aren't high on Miller for some reason.

How many TE's were you going for? That would have been 3. Oh, well looks like we are going to have to wait to finish out Round 3. BTW, did we decide to do a 4th round or not?

My understanding was no round 4. It was never addressed in the voting.
