Pretty self explanatory. Should we allow players who have been suspended by either the NFL or their respective team, be allowed to be placed on one of the Frenzy teams IR slots? Yes or No

Numbers updated, but if you click on them it still shows Opihi in the Yes column (can't change that)

I don't really care too much about this one (anymore), but I do think it runs contrary to the spirit of the rules to not allow suspended players on IR.
Think about it. We let into IR any barely dinged up player, whose coach decides to list him as questionable for whatever reason. How can we NOT allow on IR a player who is truly Out and for multiple weeks? The one caveat I would make is that a suspended player on IR has to be reactivated in the first week he is eligible to play. This way the IR cannot be used as stash for a player who was once suspended. |

I'd be up for MANDATING a suspended player to go back onto the active roster once he's cleared.
I guess the reason I voted against it is that a suspension is because of a player's STUPIDITY. Character. Integrity. Common Sense. That should count for something. Injuries are a whole different matter. |

Jim you must think I live to argue with you ;-), but I am going to again anyways...
I see your point - some players you can expect this to happen (Plax, VJax, Holmes), but some players not so much (Big Ben). Injuries can also be caused by players stupidity (Winslow riding motorcycles, Smoltz ironing a shirt he was wearing at the time) When a player is suspended in the NFL, is his slot used up, or does the team get to replace it with another active player?

I know it's not personal, Burt... so I don't mind your "arguing."
For the most part, it's a lack of common sense that gets people suspended... including Big Ben this year, even though he wasn't officially charged. Anyway... just my opinion. But this isn't one of my "fall on the sword" battles. Quote:

Right..my point was, if I have Big Ben, I am the one getting penalized for his unexpected stupidity. It really puts as much a cramp on your roster as an injured player does...but it looks like I am in minority, so as it is not that common an issue, I will give up the argument..I gave it my best ;-)

This item does not pass. Currently the voting is 6 against, 3 in favor. Even if the final three voted in favor, it would still be 6-6. Not enough to pass.
