Default Week 9 Notes

The Parkwood Predators have their worst record after nine weeks ever at 5-4. They had started 7-2 or 6-3 in each previous season. The Predators tied their worst losing streak in team history at 2 straight games, done 4 times previously. Marvin Harrison's 30.5 points was the 5th highest WR score in team history, and highest since Andre Johnson scored 35 points in week 5 of the 2004 season. With their loss, the Predators fell behind the Rabid Garbage Dogs lifetime win percentage of .714, but still hold the active lead with a .709 win percentage.

The Philadelphia Freedom have their best record ever after nine weeks at 5-4.

Jeremy Shockey's 16.6 points was the 5th highest TE score in Royal Hawaiian Opihi history.

The Soap Box Derby Cars have their best record after nine weeks at 5-4. Javon Walker's 41.85 points was the highest WR score in team history, surpassing Ronald Curry's 30.6 points in week 13 of the 2004 season. It also was the 4th highest WR score in Frenzy history.

The Jersey Toxic Waste have tied their best record after nine weeks at 6-3, done previously in 2005. Steven Jackson's 38.15 points was the 3rd highest RB score in team history. Seattle's 20 points was the 3rd highest D score in team history.

Hines Ward of the Wonder Mutts passed Joe Horn to become the 5th all time leading WR in Frenzy history with 862.5 points in 58 games for a 14.9 average. The Mutts lost their 40th career game, joining the Philadelphia Freedom (24-55), Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects (38-41), and Urza's Ragers (37-42) as the only teams to achieve that mark.

LaDanian Tomlinson's 43.2 points tied the 7th highest RB score in Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects history. Kellen Winslow's 13.3 points tied the 8th highest TE score in team history. Donald Driver passed Plaxico Burress to become the Insects 3rd all time leading receiver with 254.75 points in 20 games for a 12.7 average in 2005-06.

The Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers have tied their worst record after nine weeks at 3-6 done previously in 2004. They have lost 5 games in a row, tying their personal franchise worst, done previously in 2004 from weeks 6-10. Their 78.9 points was the 6th lowest total in team history. Buffalo's 19 points tied the 6th highest D score in team history.

The Nittany Dodgers have tied their best record after nine weeks at 5-4, done previously in '02 and '05. Tony Gonzalez' 20.8 points was the 5th highest TE score in team history. The Baltimore D passed the Pittsburgh D to become the 3rd all time leading defense in Frenzy history with 547 points in 47 games for a 11.6 average. Reggie Wayne passed Donald Driver to become the Dodgers all time leading receiver with 242.2 points in 17 games for a 14.3 average from 2005-06.

The Urza's Ragers have tied their best record after nine weeks at 6-3, done previosly in 2003-04. Their 149.45 points was the 3rd highest score in team history. Drew Brees 34.1 points was the 9th highest QB score in team history

Okay, there's just something inherently wrong about these two statements... glad to see some parity for a change!

I have to admit, it's been an amazing run for my Preds. Calling the last 4-5 years the "Preds Dynasty years" is legit (I beg anyone to argue that point, 4 straight Frenzy Bowl berths, 2 championships ;)). Hopefully I can find a way to extend the playoff run 1 more year over the next few weeks.

Considering the Freedom have dropped three straight my thoughts of a .500 seem to be slipping away. Oh, well hopefully we can get back to our winning ways soon.
