What do you mean you're still waiting for that email? I sent it a couple of weeks ago? (which is why I was wondering why you were asking me to look so many things up the past couple of weeks).

Good stuff. Now if only 2-3 was not my best start ever. BTW, I have ever won 3 in row? I can't imagine it has ever happened (and I doubt it will happen here, but I figured it can't hurt to ask).

Yes, you won 3 in a row in 2001, weeks 8-10. You are the only franchise not to have won 4 in a row yet.

Excellant stuff... I can't believe the amount of work you have to put in to them to keep them current, but the data is FANTASTIC!

Gonna see if I can somehow modify them or tweak them to automate them a bit... but I have a feeling that the manual input you do is likely a necessity. What I've seen makes updating the roster app seem minimal by comparison!

How much time a week does it take you?

Absolutely great work Brian!

I've got it down to a pretty quick process. This league take me a little longer than my local league (12 teams vs 10 seems like a lot more when I'm doing this). Probably about 1-2 hours for my local league, and a little over 2 for this one. That's counting the time I get distracted at work with real work and such.

I'm gonna see if I can intereconnect any of the data between files and cut down some of the data entry... but at first glance it doesn't look too promising!

As long as I'm spreading praise around (see the roster app thread), I just want to thank Brian for keeping these records. I look forward to seeing these reports every week, and I appreciate the work that goes into maintaining them. I'm sure I speak for everybody. Three cheers! :toast: :toast: :toast:

I concur I have not seen the full files but based on the depth and quality of the information I can only imagine the effort involved.

Thanks!!

BTW, do you think it might be possible to post some of this stuff on the league website after each season. I would not want to have to see it updated too frequently but after each season would give everyone a chance to peruse it.

I could post some limited amount of the information on the website at the conclusion of each year. I'll look into that.

Excellent thanks. BTW, it would probably help us get more free Stat Books if FBG's has that offer again next year.

It would be nice if they had that offer pre-draft time. It was a cool book and all, but only of minimal use after the season has started.

I thought the book was highly overrated myself. I haven't had a chance to look at the files on the CD yet, but from what I've looked at, I can't say it's something I would pay for!

I agree. I was more interested in getting some love for the league. I still say it is the best out there.

I think if I had the book before the draft, I would have used it extensively to do research into different trends, and coaching tendencies. Not having done that work, I don't know how useful the information would have been. I haven't looked at the CD either, but that's probably where the real value is. I'll pop it in one of these days.
