I hope I'm not being too premature by welcoming Ernie to the Realm of the Undead. I will grant you that Rams TEs have not been soaking up TDs like sponges that last few years. And I don't expect Ernie has as much keeper potential as Eric Johnson. But for those of you taking notes, I made my decision based on the following principles:
1. Quite simply, I missed the deadline on Tony Gonzalez. 2. I already have keeper material at TE in Ted Graham. 3. No team gets into the Red Zone as quickly as the Rams. Granted, they usually move right through it and into the endzone on a single play, but you never know. 4. Ernie showed a lot of improvement last year. 5. This is a contract year for him. 6. Sanity Rule: I don't have to get upset if he siphons a lot of TDs off of Isaac Bruce. |

By Ted Graham do you mean Daniel Graham. Is his nickname Ted because of the cookies (Teddie Grahams)? Just wondering because it took me a few minutes to figure out who you were refering to?
BTW, I liked your logic behind the signing! |

Oh, yeah, I guess I did mean Daniel Graham. Did I mean to draft Teddie Graham instead? I better look over that draft board....
Short story: in Junior High, a couple friends and I thought it would be hilarious to call the 1-800 number for the comment line that was printed on a box of Teddy Grahams. So I call: Me: What flavor of Teddy Grahams sells the most? Operator: They all sell pretty much the same. Me: Oh, I would have thought that chocolate sold the best. And then I hung up. (Now here's the hilarious part.) Immediately, one of my friends called the line, asked the same question, and when he got the same answer as I'd gotten, he said the same thing: "Oh, I would have thought that chocolate sold the best." Then the other guy called for the third time and did the exact same thing. This time the operator got mad and said she would call the police. We called her again a week later and asked her the exact same question again. She was much friendlier that time. I was really bored in Junior High. |

And for the record, the honey flavored Teddy Grahams are the best. |

Definitely... honey-flavored is the best.
