2019 Royal Hawaiian Opihi Declarations *MFL updated*
After a hard-working preseason, the following players have made the active roster for the 2019 Royal Hawaiian Opihi championship-striving squad:
QB Cam Newton 490/1 QB Matt Ryan 450/2 RB CJ Anderson 155/2 WR Keenan Allen 2000/1 WR Adam Thielen 2001/1 WR Stefan Diggs 1775/1 WR Tyrell Williams 350/2 TE Delanie Walker 299/1 D Carolina Panthers 100/2 The following rookies have made the Taxi Squad: WR Hakeem Butler 270/5 The following rookies have secured a spot on the Practice Squad: RB Darwin Thompson 250/5 QB Will Grier 100/5 We bid a fond "aloha" to the following players who will be CUT from the Practice Squad (w/o any cap ramifications): WR Jordan Lasley 110/3 RB John Kelly 264/3 (Insert fine print here... we reserve the right to change... yada yada yada...) On second thought... the pulmonary embolism that Keenan was diagnosed with this summer (which, to be honest, I'm just reading about NOW! How'd I miss that?!?!)... is making me re-think the 2 year contract. We'll go with one. And hope he does amazingly well!
