Upon completing my review of the 2001 season, I have the pleasure of annoucing the following awards: All Feeding Frenzy 1st Team QB-Jeff Garcia, Devil Hounds (Rabid Llamas). Garcia was the top point scorer among all positions, with 281.6 points in 13 games. RB-Marshall Faulk, Wonder Mutts. No surprise here, Marshall led all RBs with 267.4 points in 12 games for the Mutts RB-Ahman Green, Philadelphia Freedom. Ahman was second among RBs with 236 points in 13 games. WR-Terrell Owens, Lehigh Valley Blackeyes (Jersey Toxic Waste). Terrell lead the WRs with 235 points in 13 games. WR-Rod Smith, Urza's Ragers. Rod was second in the league with 233.2 points in 13 games WR-Marvin Harrison, Devil Hounds (Rabid Llamas). Marvin was third among receivers with 231.1 points in 13 games. TE-Tony Gonzalez, Indy Dragons (Detroit Wyverns). Tony lead all tight ends with 139.3 points in 14 games. K-Kris Brown, Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects. Kris, amazingly, lead all kickers with 123 points in 13 games. D-Philadelphia Eagles, Rabid Barbage Dogs (Nittany Dodgers). Philly lead all D's by a wide margin with 176 points in 14 games. All Feeding Frenzy 2nd Team QB-Brett Favre, Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers RB-Curtis Marin, Rabid Garbage Dogs (Nittany Dodgers) RB-Rickey WIlliams, Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects WR-Randy Moss, Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers WR-David Boston, Canibalistic Cobras (Hudson Valley Undead) WR-Tim Brown, Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects TE-Shannon Sharpe, Wonder Mutts K-Jeff Wilkins, Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers Def-Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Freedom Feeding Frenzy Rookie of the Year: LaDanian Tomlinson, Pennsylvania Pyranhas (Royal Hawaiin Opihi). LaDanian was 5th among running backs with 212.1 points in 14 games. Feeding Frenzy MVP: Marshall Faulk, Wonder Mutts. In one fewer game, Marshall scoredover 31 points more than the second best running back, Ahman Green, proving that he was again the best in the field by far. Wow, very glad to see the Rabid Llamas mentioned! Just one question. This team had Garcia and Harrison!?!?? Wow. Wonder what the previous tenant got in exchange for them as I'm scrathing my head to find any player on my squad worth is salary!

I believe the Pennsylvania Pyranhas became the ROYAL HAWAIIAN OPIHI... we never had David Boston, but did have LT2, and traded him to the Predators for Pittman & Henry in the offseason.

OK, obviously Sam didn't pay very close attention to which teams became which (hey, I wasn't around for a lot of that so cut me some slack). Let me go back and refigure that and I'll fix those references.
OK, changes have been made. I think everything is right in Feeding Frenzy Land again. Last edited by Nittany Dodgers; October 31st, 2002 at 10:17 AM. |
