2.4 TE Jerramy Stevens, Seattle

We made several attempts to move up to a top 5 pick in the 2nd round to grab the TE we ranked #2 overall.

On the surface, it may appear that Holmgren settled after trading down, however after much research, we feel confident that Stevens was indeed no desperation pick by the Seahawks.

Facts are, this guy is 6'7" tall, has good hands, and runs good routes. His experience as a QB earlier in his career certainly hasn't hurt him. He should create good mismatches against opposing defenses because of his size.

We welcome him into the Predators family and will do our best to help ensure his past troubles stay behind him. # 86 shold fit in well, and may even make the active roster with his reasonable 200cb cap figure.
