Although not as fast in straight-line speed as some, Bennett has all the prototypical size and skills that are the ear-mark of the new breed of 'Gates-like' TEs. His success in the limited opportunity, run-oriented offense at Texas A&M (averaging of 4 catches per game) bodes well for his productivity in an NFL style offense, but more importantly, Bennett has shown he is an every-down TE with excellent blocking skills (more than five knockdown blocks per game). So yeah, this is kind of a hand-cuff pick to the Romo-Witten combo, but I think Martellus Bennett could prove to be the best TE to come out in the 2008 draft...
