What do you do when you offer 2 picks for 3 picks. Do you give your last slot, or is there a "FA pick up" for teams that come up short in the draft?

Adidtionally, you are allowed to trade for picks upto 1 season in advance, therefore 2006 picks are also tradeable. |

This year, there is going to be an odd FA because the auction should fill the roster spots. In future years, yes, there is RFA & UFA - both helpful in filling roster if you have traded away all your picks. RFA usually done in spring...UFA in fall before the season.
Like Preds stated, you can trade for future picks as well (only 1 year in advance), so any 2005 or 2006. However, 2006 value may change depending on where you finish the season. example: you want to trade with Preds for 2006 because he'll have a high draft pick next year. |
