Wow... what a nail-biting SNF it was, as the Opihi pulled out a hard-fought shoot-out win against the Killer Bees (161.15-156.70). The Killer Bees have been the Eastern Division kings in recent years, so the victory feels quite satisfying. "It's just one game... one very important divisional game," says owner Jim White, "but we have an entire season left to play. It only really counts in the Frenzy postseason." Nevertheless, congrats to Mix Six for fielding a formidable team every single week.

Nice win Jim, we were pulling for you (if for no other reason than you're the only Eastern team we have a W against).

My Preds offense put up our best point total of the season, but is still wasn't enough to take down the Freedom who pummeled us scoring 150+ points. Sadly, the injuries to Brees and Big Ben had an indirect impact on 2 of my top players (Conner and Thomas) having subpar days, which combined with the Melvin Gordon holdout and the AB saga has made our start as miserable as last season.

The past 12 months have seen us lose a stud RB to domestic violence, a stud WR to clownish stupidity (combined with rape, inappropriate conduct, and in general being a despicable human being) as well as the unanticipated Melvin Gordon holdout that we never saw coming (but should have). Maybe I'm just getting old, but this crap takes so much enjoyment out of FF.

We'll keep fighting and see where this season goes. Hopefully we can string some W's together to keep up with the competition in the division.
