I think the Dodgers should be congratulated for the rookie pay scale they proposed, and was suppsequently adopted unanimously.
I think it's shaped the draft precisly the way it should have. Look at the player distribution in round 1, 2 QB's 4 RB's 4 WR's 2 TE's Does it get any better than that? Even in the round 2, through pick 7 we have, 0 QB's 3 RB's 3 WR's 1 TE's Again, very even distribution by position. Without a doubt, teams have had their selections impacted by what the pay scale is at the position they're looking for at their slot. RB's have dropped due to this, TE's have moved up. Also, teams have had to take into account the salary cap implications of selecting 2 RB's, forcing some like the Toxic Waste to trade down, and others like the Ragers to roll the dice and tie up 96% of their dev squad cap on 2 players. Overall, I think it's worked out excellant. Great job Brian!

Thanks Mike, I appreciate the kind words. :toast:
While were at it, let me again say what a great league you guys have put together. I came in and saw a foundation for a great league that needed just a little tinkering. Through the slight changes that everyone has proposed, I think we have the best league around. :notworthy And who knows, with the boredom that Mike apparently is suffering from, it may get even better. ;) |

I have to second that. An excellent idea that is an excellent example of why this league is so solid. After sturggling through some growing pains we have assembled a group of dedicated, smart and football savvy owners. Congrats to the Dodgers and all of the owners that make this league what it is!!

Kudos indeed. I'm very excited about how this league is shaping up. Hopefully this is the start of something great. I have to thank Mike again for hosting such a cool board, this is definitely something we lacked last year and it hurt the overall quality of the league. This year I think it will be totally different and I look forward to kicking some @ss..........err........I mean competing with all you great and knowledgable owners out there(except for Rich, he's just a dumbass
).

I agree with the job that everyone has done to improve the second season. Things being going great so far. Thanks to all. Can't wait until the season starts so I can stomp on my division and make fun of the BDSC. Not only are his players BD, so is the manager.
my competition.
