I think it's a matter of magnitudes. Yes, draft value goes up, but FA value goes down more.

Either way, it looks like Burt is close to securing a majority here. Maybe put it to a vote and wrap up the issue?

Since the draft has already started and people have made their choices, I am guessing it can't be effective immediately, but starting next off-season.
