This seems to be a problem because we have two new people this year. I hear that. However, this was never a rule. You've found a hole in the rules that we need to clarify. But 10 of 12 of us understand that only drafted players are TS eligible. I don't know what more to say. We can look back at the posts in the message boards that should spell this out. I'd be happy to research that, if it would help.
We're just at the start of the process. If you've been bidding on players based on the assumption that they'd be TS eligible, then let's talk about a one-time amnesty on those specific 3 players you've acquired. That would be fair. You can drop them without cap hit.
However, it has
never been a policy of the league to allow non-drafted players to be on the TS. Sorry for the unclarity in the rules. We all do this for fun, not for pay. We've been trying to get the rules more in line with practice. This is obviously something that needs to be clarified.
If we want to change the rules to ALLOW any players be put on the TS squad, we'll need to make a rules suggestion and have a time for voting.
