2009 Upcoming Frenzy Dates
Just updating the dates for all of us to know about:
Tuesday, September 1 at 12:00am - this will be a flexible date each year that basically commences the day after the 3rd pre-season games end (4th for the few teams that play 5). This will be approximately 7-10 days before the NFL regular season kicks off - 2009 Injured Reserve Opens
Tuesday, September 1 at 11:59pm - this will be a flexible date each year that basically commences the day after the 3rd pre-season games end (4th for the few teams that play 5). This will be approximately 7-10 days before the NFL regular season kicks off - 2009 Off-Season Free Agency ENDS. NOTE: All new contracts must now be declared (rookie draft picks - TS & DS, RFA & UFA signings)... and any rookie cuts must be made (no cap hits for current draft picks).
Wednesday, September 2 (flexible date to be the day after contracts and DS are declared) - opening of 2009 In-Season Free Agency
Saturday, October 31st at 11:59pm - 2009 Hard Cap Period Ends
Sunday, November 1st at 12:00am - 2009 Soft Cap Period Begins
Beginning of Week 14 Games (Thursday, December 10) - 2009 Off-Season Free Agency Ends (SAC'd and Frenzy)
Tuesday after Week 14 games (Tuesday December 15) - 2009 Post Season Free Agency Begins (SAC'd and Frenzy)
Beginning of Week 16 Games (Friday, December 25) - 2009 Post-Season Free Agency Ends (SAC'd and Frenzy)
