Well, your tone is quite a bit more intense than anyone else's on this board. Normally I would take it all as a joke, except that you're not funny!
And not having ever met or talked to you in any other capacity, I began to realize I had no frame of reference by which to judge your level of irony; and knowing full well that I allow myself to get pretty caught up in the irony in such a way that other people often don't find funny*, I thought I might have provided enough reason to be disliked. But I'm glad to hear everything's all good, and I look forward to years of a fun, bitter, intense rivalry with my new friend and hated nemesis, Mr. Mike SantaLucia.
(*My wife recently said to me, "When you make a bad joke, you really take it for granted that everyone is aware that you're intentionally making a bad joke. But sometimes you just look like an asshole.")
As for literary genius, unfortunately I'm just a hack who's good at copping styles from other authors. Right now I'm reading Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, so my prose is a little purple these days. Sorry to disappoint.
