Parkwood Predators-Extended their own league records best winning streak to 8 games with their victory over the Opihi, their third victory in three meetings with the Opihi/Pyranhas franchise. Hines Ward’s 35.8 points was a Predators best ever for a wide receiver. It was also the 9th highest wide receiver score in league history, and second week in a row that a Pittsburgh wide receiver posted a top ten score.
Philadelphia Freedom: Jeremy Shockey’s 15.6 points was the second highest ever for a Freedom tight end, and the highest since Chad Lewis’ 18.3 points in week 3 of 2001. The Freedom defeated the Hudson Valley Undead/Cobras for the first time in three meetings.
Royal Hawaiin Opihi-Their 69.5 point victory margin over the Wonder Mutts was the 5th highest ever in league history. It was the highest margin since the Nittany Dodgers beat the Rabid Llamas by 102.4 points (191.75-89.35).
Detroit Wyverns-Marvin Harrison’s 32.8 points was the highest ever for a Wyvern receiver. The Wyverns/Dragons beat the Wonder Mutts for the first time in three lifetime meetings.
Jersey Toxic Waste-Extended their team best winning streak to 4 games, with their victory over the Rabid Llamas. Their 146.65 points was their second highest total ever. Duce Staley’s 37.05 points was the second highest ever for a Toxic Waste running back. Terrell Owens 32.6 points was the second highest ever for a Waste receiver.
Wonder Mutts-Lost for the second week in a row, for only the second time in team history. The only other time the Mutts dropped two in a row were weeks 5 and 6 in 2001.
The Tampa Bay defense has overcome the Philadelphia defense as the most prolific Defense in the Feeding Frenzy. TB has scored 266 points in 19 games, for a 14.0 average, versus 261 points in 22 games for a 11.9 average for Philadelphia.
