Than let's revolt!
Whenever a team goes over the cap (contract or salary) we have 24 hours to get in compliance ANYWAY we choose (dropping a player, trade, IR) so I don't see why that choice would be taken away in this instance.
Yes we are well over the 24 hour period, but I don't think anyone intentionally tried to cheat the system. Like I said... losing a draft pick is punishment enough.
