It was a cool event. Losing in a shootout was no big deal. The Sabres still got a point out of the game. The NHL got what it wanted, international exposure and their poster boy shining in the end (Crosby).

The snow falling on queue to start each period was cool. It was warmer in the stands than I expected. Only had on a couple layers and a jersey, and wasn't freezing at any point.

Overall I thought it was a cool event, don't think I'd go again as the hockey itself sucked, but the environment was interesting and unique, though I thought the crowd was very quiet for the most part (at least from where I was sitting in section 335 row 17). The seats I had were pretty good, we were shielded from the wind pretty much, which was nice, and were between the faceoff circle and the blue-line.

As cool as the event itself was, personally, I much prefer watching hockey indoors at the arena!
