Playoff expansion will have even the bottoms teams trying as earlier in the year they will make more moves as they are still "in it" and when they look down the line they are not even guranteed the #1 pick so that is extra incentive to NOT TANK and try harder.

I just don't understand how it makes sense that 50% of all teams in a league, any league, would make the playoffs. Just doesn't seem very elite.
