Just wondering ... outside of obvious penalties incurred by association with gambling, are there rules in professional sports forbidding teams from purposefully losing a game? I know analysts talk about it from time to time (some people thought the Celtics were guilty of that at the end of last year), but I've never heard anyone talk about a specific rule or penalty. Again, just wondering if there might be some precedent we can look to when addressing this issue in our own rules.
