Everything I read about this kid is exactly what I want to read about a WR. Fast (Ran a 4.29 in his campus workout), explosive, makes tough catches, attacks the ball, and was ultra productive in college:

"In 49 games at Texas-El Paso, Higgins started 32 times. He ranks second in UTEP annals with 190 receptions and set school career records with 3,218 yards (16.9 avg.) and 32 touchdowns."

He is an explosive kick returner, so that ensures he sticks on the active roster even in the Raiders crowded WR corps. The other thing I like is that he will be able to build a rapport with JaMarcus Russell as they take 2nd string reps together... meaning they will be money by the time Russell takes over.

I'm happy with my draft so far... Micheal Bush, Greg Olsen, and Johnnie Lee Higgins. Hopefully they will all become productive starters in a year or two.
