Honestly, I was pulling for him to win the appeal, mainly because of this trade (though in reality, I think that while he's uber talented, he's also a complete tool and deserves his fate).
Ricky did reach the incentive plateau last season to net one 1st round pick to me, and along the way gave Pat some value last year, however, the real value in that deal for Pat was this year and beyond. I was hoping Pat would see that return with Ricky in Denver or elsewhere for 2006 (anywhere but the sideline) as a top tier RB at a ridiculously cheap rate, making this a win-win deal. Instead Pat gambled for the future and lost, and I "won" this deal, but it doesn't feel good to win this way.
It was really looking in Pat's favor as the season progressed last year too... funny how things can change so quickly.
