Ravi made the exact point I’ve made before (which you guys seemed surprised at). If this is all there is, why do what you are doing? Why keep going? Why not just spend all you can out of your body and cash out? Or do you not hold to account those that do? Are you simply just "rolling the stone to the top of the hill" without asking why?

Well, I suppose I am just a rationalist, I have no need to ask why I am here or what the purpose of my life is. I am just living it, I don't know why I don't engage in a life of complete hedonism but I don't. It has nothing to do with religion, God, the bible or anything else.
Personally I think that the rules that the vast majority of societies live to, Christian, Secular, Muslim, Jewish, Multi-theistic or animalistic (sp?) are pretty much the same, and that is no co-incidence. Societies that for instance do not have a strong taboo on murder do not survive, the same with incest or theft are much less likely to survive. Love thy neighbour is a pretty good thing because societies that put the common good first are stronger than societies where the individual takes precedence.
Natural selection took care of those societies where these rules were not in place.
p.s. I can't source any of this because it is my own personal thing, although I am not suggesting any unique thought on my part.
