They may be a legit strategy at some point, but when it is a bid on a player with a hypothetical market value of at least 2000, and you up a 750 cb bid by 5 cb, and it's not a last minute bid to keep the player alive, what is the legitimacy of the bid? You can't be serious... using your scenario, if I see an extremely undervalued player about to sell way below my perceived market value, of course I'm going to bump, and I'm going to do it by as small a margin as possible seeing as the rest of the teams seemed ready to let the player undersell. Why overpay in that case?
