I agree here. I think we need to put more thought into this. I could go along with only franchise and RFA tags as ways to keep players, but I don't like instituting the trade reneg for the first year. That won't help balance out the talent. Teams with the best talent could trade good, but not RFA quality players to other teams with excess talent and both teams get the bonus of the reneg. Meanwhile, teams still adjusting to the system could be left out of the cold.
