I would guess just the standard 20%, because the original team has already dealt with the full signing bonus. Good clarification question, though!

My understanding of the primary "savings" this policy is that it allows any team to claim a cut player at their current salary/contract rate (instead of waiting for the player to go back on the Free Agent market). The team doing the cutting still has to take the "signing bonus" hit, but can avoid the 10% prorated or 20% current salary hit (depending on what time of the year it is) if another team claims that player off of waivers...

Right?
