Week 12 - Special Early Report
In a special report, this week’s picks are early (I’M not going to be in the office tomorrow). Don’t forget to set your rosters for Thursday games!!
Week 12 is upon us. Three more divisional games leading up to the play-offs.
Here’s how I see it.
East
Parkwood Predators (8-3) at the Indiana Undead (5-6).
Preds are attempting to continue their lead in the East with a win over the Undead. Undead are disappointed Priest Holmes isn’t playing to challenge the Predators. However, if Bettis can keep it up and the three WR all step up, this game is not out of reach for Undead to have an upset and keep a breath of life for the play-offs.
Prediction: Unless there are some upsets in the NFL, Preds will continue to have 1 game lead on Opihi
Royal Hawaiian Opihi (7-4) at Philadelphia Freedom (4-7):
OK, Freedom’s out of the run for the Chamionship. However, with Leftwich back he still has the possibility to play spoiler! Opihi are hoping to repeat last week’s record setting score and pay off the Undead to upset the Predators.
Prediction: Opihi have a let down after last week, but still put up enough to win.
MidWest
Liquid Swords (7-4) at Soap Box Derby Cars (3-8):
Swords look to take out their frustration from last week’s loss to the Mutts on the Derby Cars. If the ball bounces right, they may win the division, if not they are trying to keep pace with Opihi for the wild card spot. Derby Cars actually need a second RB. If they could pull one in, Manning and Westbrook is a pretty solid 1-2 punch. TE’s might be the difference in this game.
Prediction: This is actually going to be a very close game. I see Swords squeaking one out only due to WR performance.
Wonder Mutts (9-2) take their league best record to face Jersey Toxic Waste (4-7):
Mutts have a two game lead in the division, but this is actually a challenging division where anyone can beat anyone (those darn QBs). Waste put up 159 points last week (leaving 25.6 on the bench with Reggie Wayne). This is not a push-over game. Mutts need to have more production from their WR or they will be looking at the Waste celebrating a victory on their home field! Also have a strange situation where each teams QB counters one of the other teams top WR. Hmmm. Anyway, this will be a nail-biter
Prediction: I’m actually going with the Waste in an up-set here (mostly because Dillon is going up against Ravens D)
West
Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects (4-7) at Urza’s Ragers (6-5):
BAB Insects are starting someone. I’m not really sure who, but I know they are. No, really…
Ragers are desperate. They need to win to stay ahead of the Dodger, who they gave life to last week. They are weak at RB with the loss of Lewis.
Prediction: But, I see Ragers pulling this one out because Alexander is going against a very stingy Bills run D. That and I don’t think they can handle my mocking voice ringing in their ears if they "free fall" again.
Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers (4-7) hosting Nittany Dodgers (5-6):
Chasers…um, well, ahhh…ooooo, this isn’t going to be pretty. Looks like Dodgers are going to stay on the heels of the Ragers…
Prediction: Unless there is unbelievable happenings in the NFL, Dodgers win
I didn’t have all the stats and that’s how I see it. Tank D’Season will once again return Tues for the wrap-up.
