Default Re: BABI Contract Year and Rookie Declarations

BTW guys, this is the team I drafted for Frank's Dad tonight

It's a 12 team league, Team QB, max 3 RB's and 3 WR's with 1 Wild Card... Start 1TQB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D - performance scoring with bonus over 125 yards rush/rec, 300 pass... long TD's (35 ruchm 40 rec/thrown) worth 8pts

QB
Seahawks b4 (5.10)
Bengals b5 (9.10)
I probably shoulda grabbed the Titans over the Seahawks due to their QB depth... I kinda regretted that pick... love the Bengals as a backup with Kitna and Palmer

RB
Fred Taylor b9 (2.3)
Travis Henry b3 (3.10)
Thomas Jones b5 (4.3)
Quentin Griffin b10 (7.10)
I think Jones and Griffin are in for big years, and they make great RB3 and RB4. Taylor and Henry are an awesome 1-2 punch as well. People got scared off of Henry due to McGahee... but trust me, McGahee aint ready, he's looked slow and tentative, and lacks a burst and vision at this point.

WR
Randy Moss b4 (1.10)
Steve Smith b3 (6.3)
Chris Chambers b10 (8.3)
need I say more.. he's got 3 top 15 WR's

TE
Antonio Gates b10 (10.3)
Freddie Jones b6 (11.10)
My own personal biases got in the way here... I'm extremely high on Gates (seeing him as the 2nd target in San Diego after LT)... moreso than Boo Williams at this point (who I took Gates ahead of). I also like Freddie a lot this year, but I probably could've waited and snagged a D or K and taken Kinney or Graham later. Graham went UNDRAFTED BTW! Regardless, I think your dad will have 2 top 10 TE's with this pairing when all is said and done.

K
Matt Stover b6 (13.10)
Paul Edinger b5 (14.3)
Both Kickers are on offenses likely to struggle scoring TD's, but they will move the ball. Stover was 3rd in Kicker scoring in both the Frenzy and the NF-FFL leagues last year, while Edinger was 8th in the Frenzy and 10th in the NF-FFL. Both represent very good value.

D
Buffalo Bills b3 (12.3)
Chicago Bears b5 (15.10)
The Bills will be a solid D in this scoring format as they won't allow a ton of points, and have made a lot of strides in increasing the turnovers for 04. I had the Hawks, Vikes and Colts in sight as my D2 in rd 13 but they flew off the board before I could snag them. Regardless, the Bears with Ogun now on the d-line may be a decent flyer pick... I almost took the Falcons, but I like the Bears Schedule down the stretch better (Jacksonville, Houston, Detroit wks 14-16)

What do y'all think? Did I do OK for him?
