Here's the COMMISSIONER'S ORDER:

If players are auto-promoted at the start of a new season year... teams will have 72 hours to declare contract years. If they do not, the player(s) will default to one year. If a player wants to cut a player who has been auto-promoted, a 1-year cap hit will apply.

But this league is so on top of things, I'm sure this will NEVER come into play... right?!?!
