FYI, an OPIHI is a small mollusk that clings to the rocks along the shoreline where the waves pound. Locals like to eat them, and they fetch quite a high price per pound (we're talking close to $50-$100/lb. in some cases, because you need so many of them to make a pound!). My nickname is kinda ironic, in some sense, in that no Opihi would be considered "royal"... but we do cling to things tenaciously, when others would give up & fall away!
So a pupu-platter might work... but you wouldn't slice it... you'd pop it in your mouth raw...
Actually, YOU won't be eating any Opihi this weekend, Mr. Undead... the Opihi will be... eeuw, gross... feasting on the Undead (I think I need to hurl just thinking about it!).
