To verify so I can get a better understanding of the RFA No-Trade rule.
This trade was cancelled because both trades were not even. - not because an RFA player was involved. The "future" trade portion would be allowed if Part1 and Part2 would have both been reasonably even.
So... an RFA player can be included in a trade today as a Part1 & Part2 deal, with the condition that both parts are even? It would just mean that the RFA portion of the deal would not go into effect until after the RFA no-trade deadline.
Basically this would be a trade today for draft picks (or players) with an official (on the books) gentlemen's agreement to a second part of the deal?
Is this correct?
