The Frenzy is currently overwhelmingly supporting the proposal below, and Burt asked that I post it here for SACD to vote on as well.

With the NFL having moved the draft and schedule announcements back in recent years, SACD alter timelines a bit.

1 - Make the Official roll-over to the new season May 1st, instead of April 1st.

2 - Push back the RFA period to start May 1 and end May 31 with declarations due by April 23,

3 - Push back the rookie draft to start June 1st each year.

4 - Push back the start of UFA to the 1st Monday after the Rookie Draft is complete.

These changes will allow time for the NFL to release schedules and byes and for the league and owners to plan accordingly BEFORE declaring RFA's. The push back will also allow teams additional time to evaluate rookies before drafting.
