There were two things. The main vote was for revamping the comp system to points. That passed. But inside the vote, we broke down a discussion of HOW the determination of picks would be made. There was a mini-vote inside that thread with three options:
a) predetermined slots for your points (what you get is what you get)
b) true cafeteria-style selection (owners can divide their points as they see fit)
c) abridged cafeteria-style (an owner can choose to drop a 3rd comp to a 4th comp)

The votes for that were: a) 4, b) 1, c) 3... only seven votes

Nowhere does the commissioner (whomever it was at that time) state that the a) option became the official selection.

Not to drag something out that's over 6 years old... but did this really ever come to a conclusion?
