Correct Bobby...you have to Reneg a players contract before the current years contract expires March 31st at midnight. April 1st, contract roll over(subtract 1 year), 10% is added, then rookie bonuses are added on top of that if they apply.

So if the max salary for bonuses is 3200, once you reneg him to 3356 for 2011, then the rookie bonus for the final year of his rookie contract will not apply.

Also, don't forget, all reneg'ed players salaries have to fit into your 2011 salary cap.
