Didn't Palmer just go for in the 700s? This isn't all that great a deal I think. I'm unimpressed with the future upside of Vick as a fantasy threat. He needs to rapidy learn how to be an actual QB before his legs start slowing down.

Palmer went in the 700's in the Frenzy (and that was when the injury concerns were still there, and he wsa expected to be out the 1st 6 weeks)... he'd go higher now. Not sure where he's at in SACD.

That being said, I agree, Vick has limited upside, and 750 is probably more than he's worth.

He's just not QB1 material for fantasy. A quality QB2 maybe, but not an every week starter. Which means IMO, his 750 contract is about right, and not a huge deal.

I know one thing for certain, no way I woulda tied myself up with him for 5 years!

I also think QBs are overpriced in general in SAC'D, but you're thinking of the Frenzy. Here Carson currently has a contract of 1265, Trent Green 1320, Culpepper 2299 and Manning a whopping 2695! :yikes

I like Vick at 750 and have the cap room to take a chance on a long contract. We'll see.

Stupid being in two leagues and being on vacation has me thinking not so straight. OK, so Vick isn't so overpriced in SAC'D. I'm still down on him though, but this isn't as bad a deal as I thought.

750 is 3.75% of your cap here in SACD for a Top 10 QB who has a chance to go higher if he ever learns to pass.

700 in Frenzy is 7% of your cap space.

Less than 1k for a Top 10 QB is well worth the risk.

Not sure how high I would have gone - but I wasn't going to stop anytime soon. I have an obscene amount of cap room to work with.

I'm not sure what has transpired between June and now to make his value plummet from 1200 to 750 (and still be labeled 'overpriced') ???
