Well, other sharing a last name with the guy I am having a hard time figuring out why I am doing this. I have about 8 WR's from my DS/PS/TS (whatever it's called) but something about what I have read and seen makes me think he might be able to overcome a tough situation in Denver.

Plus with Jimmy Smith retiring maybe Rod Smith will follow suit?

This is another great potential reward pick (can't call any pick in the 3rd round a "risk")... he's got great size... I watched him in the Hawaii Bowl last December, and he's a monster! He's going to take a few years to get "into the flow"... but could be a solid WR down the line. Plus, a lot of folks have him near the top of the middle-tier WRs in the draft.

Yes, I saw him in a bowl game (on TV not live unfortunately) he looked like he was just head and shoulders above the defense. Seemed like the time to take a shot since there are few if any sure things left at any of the positions.
