I'm kinda watching and waiting, though I only have 9 days to bid... come 4/12 I'm in Disney World with no internet for 13 days.

Since you've been so good to me in years past, my answer is, um...no.

Have I EVER bid on your RFA's?

Jake,

Why would you open Rudi at the tender level? Of course he'll be matched there. You know better than to open RFA's too low. What's the strategy here, you looking to flood the market with bids?

Just did Disney about a month ago. It was a blast with my 2 year old.

Are you staying at one of the resorts?

Re: 2006 SACD RFA Commentary

What do you mean I know better? Seems to me that if the bid is so low that its guaranteed to be matched, it follows that the bid is also guaranteed to be bumped up by another owner. Nothing wrong with encouraging participation - especially the way things are starting here. I've never seen a RFA period start this slow in the Frenzy. I'm interested to see if the long list of other player retention rules we have on the books are going to stifle the RFA interest. That just might end up being the case.

We're staying 2 nights at Pop Century, and 5 nights at Coronado Springs

The other days are travel days and a day or 2 at my bosses place on the Gulf near St. Pete.

We did Disney last Februaty (2005) as well, this is a more relaxed trip to Disney (water parks, and not such a rush to see eveything siunce we've seen most of it).

My next big trip is Hawaii in April 2007... 16 days including a 7 night cruise through the islands. That trip should be a blast.

I guess I'm more in the belief that bidding closer to your target figure for a RFA is better than nickle and diming the bids, and potentially letting a guy slip through too cheap as a result. This isn't typical UFA bidding where you're trying to acquire a guy as cheap as you can, the goal here is to force these players to sell at or above market value, and hopefully pull 1 or 2 by making the match difficult on the tendering team.

Maybe it has something to do with the level of talent on your roster ;)

i cant speak for the others, but my lack of bidding so far had to do with it opening on the weekend.

That Frenzy Bowl loss to me last year was hard on you wasn't it. It's OK Brian, you'll get another chance in 10 or 15 years.

Mike's strategy is valid - just keep starting leagues with the same guys, eventually you'll win one of them.

It's OK Mike, you'll get back to the big game before then. I plan on being there again this year.

SAC'D, now that's a different story.

I've been there 4 years in a row... my players are getting tired, no off-season ya know, but when you have what it takes, you're there year, after year, after year...

I've only missed one year (due to rebuilding from having taken over a team in a bad contract situation). I've got the third highest percentage of playoff appearances in the league, 3rd highest PPG lifetime average, 3rd most points in the post season in league history, I feel I good about my chances of making it back, and feel good about what will happen when I do.

Since this is SACD I would have to say that I probably am 1 or 2 in all of those categories
