As with the Frenzy, here is the updated short term calendar. The only significant change is moving the end of the RFA period back a day to avoid it falling on a weekend.

Re: 2006 Calendar

Friday, midnight essentially RFAs are due (in the Frenzy, whoever posts first usually just opens a thread for that specific purpose, and they can be changed up until the deadline).

That is about all for now, unless you are going to cut someone on a multi-year contract as it is advantageous while the 2005 clock is still rolling. You can still cut a player and have half their penalty count against the 2005 year, and the other half against 2006.

However, with the two unresolved openings, I would think we would currently suspend the clock on anything going on, and once the two new owners are determined, wait a week for anything to happen this season. So, we would have a week from whenever the two owners are officially named to declare RFAs, etc.

Can we officially call the RFA period suspended at this point ? Between the tender offer issues and the fact that there are openings I want to make sure that everyone (especially me) is clear on what is happening here. Thanks!

The Eco Warriors and 36 Chambers are the remaining members of the rules committee. We'd need a third to join them, as well as someone to step up to the commisionership (Mike, you're still listed on the rules as comish. Did Steve take that from you?).

In the interests of simplicity sake, I'd suggest we do the compromise that was done in the Frenzy and say RFAs are due on the 30th, and the bidding will open the following Monday (the 3rd).

Actually Noah did... as long as Frank or someone can continue updating the app, and we switch to MFL, I should be able to handle the minimal commish duties here (unless someone else wants the "official" title.

I agree with the tender dates BTW... March 30th due date, April 3rd opening of bidding.

If it didn't get carried over, it should be the same as the Frenzy I would think.

Silly question but when is the Frenzy date? I can't access the site from work. Thanks.
