From the rules:

5. Rookie Draft
5A. General Information

The rookie draft will be 6 rounds in a NON-SERPENTINE fashion based on the prior years ranking for each team, with the 6 teams failing to make the playoffs picking from 1-6 and the 6 playoff qualifiers picking 7-12 based on their finish. The SAC'D Bowl (?) runner up will pick 11th with the winner picking 12th. Spots 7-10 will the playoff seeding, with the worst seed picking 7th.

12. Playoffs
12A. Qualifying
A total of four (4) teams will qualify for the playoffs. Three will be the division champions and one wildcard - the team with the next best record regardless of division.

Okay I am guessing that Section 12 wins out here but we should probably clarify. Thanks :)

Good catch. I would guess that section 12 would win on this one, but that is up to the rules committee.

There are only 4 playoff teams. Note that in the rules section and it'll get cleaned up for 2006.

I agree. 4 teams make playoffs from the way I read it.
