The Ypsilanti Undead have their worst record after nine weeks at 4-5.


The Parkwood Predators have tied their worst record after nine weeks at 6-3, which they have been at each year since 2003. Their 164.85 points was the 3<SUP>rd</SUP> highest total in Predators history, and the 20<SUP>th</SUP> highest total in Frenzy history. Peyton Manning’s 34.85 points was the 2<SUP>nd</SUP> highest QB score in Predators history, behind only Jeff Garcia’s 45.15 points in week 14 of the 2002 season. LaDanian Tomlinson’s 47.05 points was the 3<SUP>rd</SUP> highest RB score in Predators history. Marvin Harrison’s 29.3 points was the 6<SUP>th</SUP> highest WR score in Predators history.


The Philadelphia Freedom have tied their worst record after nine weeks at 2-7 which they also did in 2003. Their 79.55 points tied their 8<SUP>th</SUP> lowest score in franchise history. The Freedom have scored 4 of their 10 lowest score ever during the 2005 season.


The Royal Hawaiian Opihi have their best record after nine weeks at 7-2. The Opihi have won six games in a row, a new personal best. Jeremy Shockey’s 15.7 points was the 4<SUP>th</SUP> highest tight end score in Opihi history. Neil Rackers’ 16.5 points tied the 4<SUP>th</SUP> highest kicker score in team history.

Steve McNair passed Aaron Brooks to move into 5<SUP>th</SUP> place all time among Frenzy quarterbacks. McNair has 841.95 points in 37 games for a 22.8 average. Brooks has 838.35 points in 36 games for a 22.3 average.


The Liquid Swords have their worst record after nine weeks at 4-5. Their 65.5 points was the lowest score ever for the Swords. Erron Kinney’s 15.9 points was the 3<SUP>rd</SUP> highest tight end score in Swords history.


The Jersey Toxic Waste have their best record after nine weeks ever at 6-3.


Dirty Sock’s 17.2 points tied the 8<SUP>th</SUP> highest tight end score in Wonder Mutts history. Larry Fitzgerald passed Peter Warrick to become the Mutts 3<SUP>rd</SUP> all time leading receiver. Fitzgerald has 170.4 points in 15 games for an 11.4 average for the Mutts. Warrick had 163.3 points in 15 games for a 10.9 average in 2001 & 2003.


Sebastian Janikowski’s 12.9 points was the 9<SUP>th</SUP> highest kicker score in Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects history. Sebastian passed Jeff Wilkins to become the Frenzy’s all time leading kicker. Janikowski has 433.2 points in 53 games for a 8.2 average. Wilkins has 432.6 points in 46 games for a 9.4 average. Steve Smith passed Plaxico Burress to become the Insects 2<SUP>nd</SUP> all time leading receiver. Smith has 258.9 points in 15 games for a 17.3 average for the Insects. Plaxico had 244.85 points in 21 games for an 11.7 average in 2001-03.


Reggie Wayne’s 22.9 points was the 5<SUP>th</SUP> highest WR score in Nittany Dodger history.


The Urza’s Ragers have tied their worst record after nine weeks at 3-6, done also in 2002. Their 75.3 points was the 7<SUP>th</SUP> lowest score in team history. Chris Cooley’s 12 points was the 5<SUP>th</SUP> highest tight end score in Ragers’ history.

It has been a rough, injury-plagued season so far. But amazingly I'm not out of it yet.

No kidding. I'm 9th in the league in scoring, but just one game out of my division lead. Come on guys, beat up on the West for one more week (except of course whoever it is playing me this week)!

I'll try to do my part against your division leader this week... but I'll also note that I'm kinda missing my #1 guy in LT, as well as my #2 WR in Housh.

We'll see where it goes, but a loss to Joe won't surprise me in the least this week.

This means I won this week? How the heck did that happen? How did 79.55 points end a 7 game losing streak? Man I can't wait to get the DSL set-up at home so I can check all of this out!

You're adding DSL at home? Cool! Did randilover talk to you at all about Vonage yet?

Combine broadband DSL/Cable with Vonage and I bet it's cheaper than you're paying for your phone service/internet dialup, at least it was by about $30-40 for me!

No, we have not talked about Vonage. To be honest our monthly phone bill is usually about $25-30. We rarely call anyone that is not part of our local area and if we go long distance we use one of the 10-10 numbers. The DSL (is the mid range option that Verizon is rolling out locally ) will be about $15 (at least for the first year).

If you have DSL, then all those Vonage savings are in long distance calls, right? I wanted to forgo a land phone line altogether, but DSL is much cheaper than cable modem in my area. And you can't get DSL without phone service.

So I just do all my long distance calling on the cel, since it costs no more than a local call.

Go to the nearest Best Buy or Circuit City and ask them if they have any highspeed internet deals with one of your local cable companies. Usually if you purchase a cable modem from them you'll get all kinds of deals with the cable company plus the cable modem is usually free after a mail-in-rebate (looking at about $70 of initial investment).

When I moved to Indy, I went to Circuit City, purchased a cable modem ($70). I signed up for cable internet with Comcast via Circuit City. Doing so I received an $85 mail-in-rebate for the cable modem (+$15!!!!). Then I also received $100 in Comcast Cash through Circuit City, $50 Comcast Cash through Comcast. Now I'm +$165 after the mail-in-rebates.

Signing up through Circuit City also gave me cable internet for $19.99/month for the first 6 months. After that it goes up to $29.99/month....but when that 6th month starts call up your cable company and tell them you'd like to cancel your internet at the end of the month because you're going to switch to DSL since it'll be cheaper than the $29.99 your cable internet will go up to. They don't want to lose your business to DSL so they'll let you have the $19.99 deal for another six months. Then you just repeat the whole process. It just worked for me after my 1st six months; plus, a friend has been doing this with Comcast for the past 2 1/2 years.

Also if you want digital cable, you can usually sign up at CC or Best Buy too and receive even more mail-in-rebates....I got another $100 in Comcast Cash. Essentially in my first 6 months in Indy, my cable internet and digital cable was free. Now I'm paying about $73/month for digital cable w/HBO & Showtime and cable internet.

I'm all wireless. No land-line phone, only cell and wireless internet at home.

Actually, check with your phone company. Most have started rolling out what they call naked DSL.

As for my savings, Buffalo has some of the highest utility costs in the country, I belive our local phone bills are the most expensive (they dismiss it off as saying we have a larger local calling area than most parts of the country, but it's :BS

When I had DSL and Verizon local, my Bill was like $110 a month with very little long distance. At the time the DSL cost $35 plus taxes of that $110, meaning about $70 for local service, call waiting, voicemail, and of course, some of the highest taxes in the country (NYS SUCKS).

I attempted to drop Verizon local, and keep DSL, but the wouldn't let me, so I switched to cable at $42 a month, plus $27 a month (inc. taxes) for Vonage. A savings of about $40 a month. Naked DSL wasn't available at the time in my area, though it is now, but Verizon can go F themselves. The cable modem is twice as fast (if not more) and the $10-15 savings aint worth me giving them my business again.

for speed:cost ratio, cable is definitely the way to go
